HAY FEVER/NASAL CONDITIONS
HAY FEVER/NASAL CONDITIONS
We encounter four main types of nasal conditions at KCAA.
ALLERGIC RHINITIS
Commonly called hay fever, this condition occurs when the immune system attacks a harmless substance, like pollen. It can also be triggered by pet dander, mold, dust mite droppings, cockroach particles, smoke, strong odors, and changes in temperature and humidity. Allergic Rhinitis has cold-like symptoms. Sufferers may experience runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes.
NASAL CONGESTION
A stuffy nose may be caused by allergies, sinus problems, or a common cold. KCAA specialists can properly diagnose the cause for faster relief.
SNORING
Snoring occurs when breathing is partially obstructed. Up to 50% of adults experience snoring at some point in their lives. Anatomy, alcohol consumption, a cold, and excess weight can contribute to snoring, and so can allergies.
NON-ALLERGIC RHINITIS
Around one-third with hay fever symptoms do not have allergies. Rather, they have Non-allergic Rhinitis – a sensitive nose. Usually impacting adults, this condition can cause year-round symptoms like a runny nose or nasal congestion.
